Lily Wills

Lily has been making lace since the mid-eighties, starting with evening classes locally, then a four-year techniques course covering all types of lace, and later short special courses in Switzerland, Germany and The Czech Republic, and courses led by Dutch, Danish and American tutors.

Lily is an eclectic lacemaker, often combining different techniques (usually with continuous threads) and using all types of interesting threads. She often works large-scale pieces — mainly in colour — but also likes traditional techniques used in modern applications.

Her work has been exhibited in Great Britain, Switzerland and Germany.
